Henry Rollins Paints Shirtless with The Shirtless Painter…I don’t know what category this should go in, but it had to go somewhere.

All episodes of Star Trek: Picard are now free. You’ll still have to sign up for the CBS streaming service to watch the show, BUT there’s a coupon code that unlocks Picard: “GIFT.” With the code, you get a one month free trial that includes all shows on CBS. **Don’t forget to turn it OFF after a month so you don’t get charged.

Pluto TV – This is a free online streaming service. It has commercials, but it also has loads of TV and Movies

Paris Opera – The Paris National Opera has concerts and ballets they are updating regularly. Their schedule is…puzzling, but there’s a lot there and new things are queued up through June for online viewing for free.

The Worlds Museums

British History Online (BHO) is a digital sources for the history of Britain and Ireland – particularly the period 1300 to 1800. From March 30 – July 31 2020, all transcribed content on BHO is free to access.

Versailles has a virtual tour of the grounds

Paris Museum puts thousands of images online for public use. Go change your desktop to some art for the day!

Virtual Museum Portals – The giant portal to all the digital museums. Here are shortcuts to a few of my favorites:

  • National Gallery, London:  Here is a virtual tour you can control.  You can ‘stroll’ around the museum and spend as much or as little time on each piece as you’d like.
  • The British Museum and The National Gallery in Rome do it all: Virtual tour and online exhibits.  To stroll around the museum, click the little orange Google guy on the lower right of the museum picture.   To look at the exhibits, scroll down on the main page and click an image you want to know more about.
  • Creative Commons lets you search for…everything really and tells you how it can be legally used.  Try doing a search for ‘Lalique’ or ‘Scythian’ if you want to start down a rabbit hole.
